The 180-4 is an 8-foot, 1-weight built for small high-country streams, where delicate presentations of tiny dries and nymphs matter and its quick action cuts false casting. The 383-4 is an 8-foot 3-inch, 3-weight for smaller streams and creeks, ideal for the confined waters of the Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Natal. The 590-4 is a 9-foot, 5-weight all-rounder that shines as a stillwater trout rod and has the backbone for smallmouth yellowfish on rivers like the Vaal and Orange. The 790-4 is a 9-foot, 7-weight developed by the Frontier Fly Fishing staff for largemouth yellowfish, with crossover ability for light bass and saltwater work.
